How to install SafeStop

A solution to crushed dryer hoses

Before installation

Check the space.
Then choose the mount.

SafeStop is designed to maintain a six-inch gap using two brackets per dryer. Verify that the proposed layout meets the appliance manufacturer's installation instructions.

This is planning guidance, not a substitute for the product's installation instructions or a complete dryer and vent inspection.

Wall mounting

Confirm a suitable mounting location and wall structure. Select fasteners appropriate for the surface and follow the product instructions.

Magnetic mounting

Confirm that the dryer back is compatible with the supplied magnets and that the brackets can be positioned securely without obstructing connections or service access.

For turnovers and routine visits

A repeatable check
for each unit.

Record the unit or work-order reference in your own maintenance system. Schedule follow-up for conditions your team cannot resolve during the visit.

  1. Review the layout. Identify the dryer, vent route, wall surface, and available clearance.
  2. Inspect the vent connection. Look for visible compression, damage, disconnection, or lint buildup; arrange correction and cleaning as needed.
  3. Check mounting suitability. Confirm the selected bracket method is appropriate for the unit.
  4. Check positioning after installation. Verify that the pair of brackets maintains space without creating a new obstruction.
  5. Document the work. Record installation and any outstanding maintenance needs.
  6. Recheck after movement. Inspect positioning and connections whenever the dryer is moved or serviced.
